What was announced by Apple on September 9th?

The Apple event happened on September 9th. With rumors and leaks coming days before the Apple Event, we decided to create an article for people who can’t watch the Apple Event.

Seeing the title “it’s glow time” (and writing part of this article hours before the event) it seems that the event will be focused on Artificial Intelligence and Apple’s way of using it, especially when focusing on the new Siri. So without any more delay, here was what was announced for the new Apple Event

Apple Watch

Apple Watch Series 10

Apple started off the event with introducing a new watch. Apple Watch Series 10. The watch has an amazingly thin design, bigger face, and new watch faces that compliment that design. Apple promises an All-day 18 hour battery life, and a faster charging rate (80% in 30 minutes. The Series 10 can now track metrics during your sleep, and notify you of patterns that represent sleep apnea.

Like the water? The Watch now has depth and temperature sensing for water activities, and is water-resistant for up to 50 meters. The Series 10 now. has a new tides app, which tells you how high and low the tides are right on your wrist!

Some people have been waiting for this feature - you can now playback audio through the watch’s speaker, and during calls, the Apple Watch now has voice isolation.

Pre-order for the watch was available now and the full release is on September 20th

Yes! New AirPods! Apple used advance tools to refine the design to make it comfortable in our ears. Apple promised richer bass and better audio quality in these new AirPods. And yes, these also have Personalized Spacial Audio, which makes an immerse audio experience in both games, movies, and music using machine learning

Apple added voice isolation in these AirPods, so when you have a call, your voice will come through clear around any environment. When Siri has an announcement, you can now nod your head, or shake your head to respond, and you have tap controls on the stem of the AirPods to play or pause music, or to answer and end calls.

Apple made the case of the AirPods smaller and added USB-C to the case. They promise up to 30 hours of battery life. There are other features like conversation awareness, and adaptive audio with the AirPods, so they can be the best in any situation and event.

The AirPods 4 is $129 and to add active noise cancelation, its $179. They are available to pre-order now, and will be available on September 20th

New AirPods Max

The AirPods Max now come with amazing new colors, USB C, and Personalized Spacial Audio. They are still $549 and can be pre-ordered today and be available the same day they AirPods are (September 20th)

AirPods Pro 2

Most of us know that Apple heavily cares about accessibility. Well now, with the Apple Hearing study, apple was inspired to have 3 hearing features focused on Prevention, Awareness, and Assistance

Prevention - Hearing Protection

For prevention, Apple talked about hearing, and exposure to sound, then they introduced Hearing Protection to AirPods Pro, which reduces loud noise

Awareness - Hearing Test with AirPods and iPhone

For Awareness, Apple is releasing a ‘clinically validated’ hearing test. It uses your iPhone to test your hearing. Apple claims that it used large scale real world data, and data from the Apple Hearing Study they did. After the hearing test, results will remain private in your Health App on iPhone

Assistance - Hearing Aid Feature

Apple claims that the new AirPods Pro 2 will have a “clinical grade, over-the-counter hearing aid feature” which will allow people with moderate hearing loss to hear their surroundings better. Your hearing profile is automatically added to calls, and media on your Apple Devices.

Apple says they expect to receive clearance from the FDA soon, and will have the hearing test and hearing aid feature available some time this fall in 100+ countries and regions. They will be released by a software update on AirPods Pro 2 and iOS 18.

iPhone 16 and 16 Plus

The Long awaited iPhone 16 and 16 Plus! Now comes with new colors, and is promised Industry-Lead durability, being water and dust resistant and their latest Ceramic Shield glass, which Apple says is 50% tougher than their first generation of their Ceramic Shield glass. The iPhone 16 can go up to 2000 nits when in a bright environment and 1 nit in a dark environment. The size of the phone is 6.1” for iPhone 16 and 6.7” for iPhone 16 Plus

The iPhone 16 introduces Camera Control. A sensor which introduces access to the camera with a click, and has a sensor to adjust features within the camera app with a slide of a finger across the sensor.

iPhone 16 and 16 pro are focused on Apple Intelligence, and will be able to complete Apple Intelligence task without hesitation or excessive lag thanks to the new Apple A18 Chip

The iPhone 16 stars at $799 and iPhone 16 Plus starts at $899

Camera, Camera Control Features, Audio Quality

With the new camera control sensor, there are features to take a quick photo and video of a moment, and works with the UI elements to control with the sensor using your finger.

The camera on the iPhone itself is 48mp with a 26mm focal length on the main camera. The camera has a 2x telephoto option wit ha 52 mm focal length. It also captures 4k 60 video with Dolby Vision.

The iPhone 16 also has an ultra wide camera now with auto focus, and also enables macro photography and Spacial capture for Vision Pro

With the iPhone, Audio quality just got way better. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the new iPhone can reduce wind noise from videos.

Optimization for Gaming

Now the iPhone is optimized for gaming more than ever by adding ray-tracing on games, using hardware acceleration.

With Apple Intelligence and Gaming Optimization, we all know that demands more battery life. Apple thought ahead! The iPhone 16 models have even bigger battery so your battery will not be heavily affected

A18 Chip - Created for iPhone 16 + Apple Silicon

With Apple Intelligence, apple needed a high-performance chip. With that ideal comes the Apple A-18 chip, which made them jump 2 generations ahead (talk about the future!). It has a 16 core neural engine, which Apple says it’s 2 times faster for machine learning models. Apple’s A18 chip now has 17% more system memory bandwidth, and a 6-core CPU (2 performance and 4 efficiency) which apple claims it to be 30% faster than the iPhone 16 CPU

Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence is the iPhone’s new personal intelligence system, which adapts dynamically with your activities, and using personal information (with your permission) to complete activities. It’s integrated with Writing tools (like proofread), Generative tools (like Genmoji, and Generative Playground), remembering moments through photos (through search using AI), focusing and prioritizing (like priority notification features).

and finally, Siri gets an upgrade with Artificial Intelligence, and more knowledge of data, so you can ask stuff like “What show did Louis suggest me”. It’s available as a free software update in the coming months.

Visual Intelligence

Apple made it easier to learn information from what you see, hence the creation of Visual Intelligence on the iPhone 16 models, by clicking and holding the camera control, and whatever Visual Intelligence sees, using Apple Intelligence, it will cause an action to happen like showing info for a restaurant or Adding an event to your calendar-Coming later this year

Want More? Apple’s got it! They introduced the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. Very Large Display with iPhone Pro being 6.3” and iPhone Pro Max being 6.9”, which is the largest display ever, and the thinnest borders ever on an Apple product.

iPhone 16 Pro uses Grade 5 titanium, which is more scratch resistant and introduces new titanium colors! It has a larger battery and the best iPhone Battery life ever.

For video, you now can record 4k 120 pro res, dolby vision, and now available in slow-mo, and can even adjust the speed after recording, and HDR is available in 4k 120 quality!

Audio

Introduces amazing true-to life audio using intelligence. Also introduces spacial audio recording using AirPods, Apple Vision Pro, or Home Theater Setup using Audio Mix Feature, and separates speech from people in recordings, making recording a video on iPhone professional.

Apple figured out that musicians use Voice memos to record song ideals, and later this year, you can layer recordings together!
